Celtic Princess at The Iowa Renaissance Festival

More Renaissance Festival photos from our first season of travel!

Here is an ethereal young druid we met at the Iowa Renaissance Festival last Memorial Day Weekend. Ian's Celtic Weave Sun Circlet was the perfect addition to her simple, elegant look:)

This is a delightful festival is held in Middle Amana, Iowa- we plan to take our shop there again this year~ May 29-30-31, 2010 (Memorial Day Weekend) come and join us for some fun!!

Andy McKee Played at Our Wedding -yes really!

Andy McKee~ hometown boy, all around delightful guy and ABSOLUTELY AMAZING guitar player has made it big. His YouTube videos broke records for the most hits a few years ago,- (many of them in the 10s of millions!) he has fans all over the world and tours everywhere.

here is Hunters Moon from his soon to be released Joyland (CD/DVD)

Ian & I first met him in 1999 when Ian bought a guitar from him at the shop where he worked. It was a favorite guitar of his and he played a bit on it so we could hear how it sounded- we were totally gobsmacked speechless as we stood and watched this stuff fly out of his fingertips!! Somewhere in one of those first meetings Ian decided that Andy had to be the music at our wedding and when Ian contacted him in 2003 he happily agreed. We were only sort of joking when we said one day we would be bragging that he played at our wedding, and sure enough, its now one of our favorite things to boast about;)

The meteorologists called it Hoar Frost, but Im sure it was the fairies that left it...I took these photos a few weeks ago on a magical walk over a fairy bridge;)

It was unusually foggy here for several days- on the days that it actually froze, these crystals formed on the trees...on the day these photos were taken it was actually snowing these big crystal clusters- absolutely magical, I had never seen anything like it!!

Fairy Wedding Sale & a Feature:)

I was delighted to hear that my Queen Mab's Fairy Wedding Tiara was featured in a relatively new online magazine called Creative Crafting ~

This remains one of our most popular designs and has always been a personal favorite of mine, designed as an homage to Arthur Rackham's beautiful illustrations from Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens

It ALSO happens to be part of an entire jewelry range~ Queen Mabs Faery Wedding~ that is on sale now as part of my first sale of the year. Click the link to visit the Thyme2dream Fairy Wedding Sale on Artfire. It will be open at least through Valentine's Day;-)
